Refineries have huge process plants where piping is an important role in the successful and safe construction of the facility. To ensure the personal and industrial safety of a plant it is necessary for the piping engineer to understand the process as well as the materials used in piping systems. Nowadays more and more exotic materials are used, like Inconel cladded pipe, Duplex and Super Duplex piping material.
These pipes in the refineries need new methods for pipeline cutting and beveling. E-Work offers pipe cold cutters, which are used to cut and bevel the pipe especially for thick-walled pipelines in explosive areas. Cold cutting process is carried out at low temperatures and has many advantages: The pipe material remains cold, so that the damage to the material is reduced to a minimum. In addition, there are no sparks, no discolouration and no environmental pollution.
